The scope included complete wall tile installation using rounded picket tiles, construction of a custom glass-enclosed shower, integration of an illuminated LED mirror, and careful finishing around plumbing fixtures and hardware. Floors were tiled with coordinating materials, and all corners and transitions were planned to maintain a seamless, professional appearance throughout the room.

Craftsmanship Approach

Installing rounded picket tile requires a far higher level of precision than standard rectangular tile. Unlike subway tile with straight edges and forgiving brick patterns, rounded picket tiles have curved ends and interlocking geometry that make alignment extremely sensitive. Every piece is installed individually, which means there is no factory-mounted sheet to guide spacing or positioning. As a result, each tile had to be placed by hand with exact control to maintain perfectly straight vertical lines and consistent grout joints. Even a one or two millimeter shift can cause the entire wall to drift, creating visible waves or uneven rows. Cutting work was also significantly more complex than with traditional tile. Because of the curved shape, simple straight cuts were rarely possible. Custom trimming was required around shower valves, shower heads, niches, glass clips, and wall terminations. Every fixture penetration demanded precise shaping to preserve the pattern and avoid awkward gaps. Inside corners required advanced layout planning to prevent small sliver pieces or mismatched curves, and transitions were carefully calculated before the first tile was installed. Lighting in the space further raised the standard for accuracy. The glossy finish of the tiles combined with directional bathroom lighting magnifies even the smallest imperfection. To achieve a flawless result, the substrate was prepared to be perfectly flat, thinset application was tightly controlled, and laser layout lines were used throughout the installation. The final appearance reflects the patience, technical skill, and detailed planning required to execute this challenging material at a professional level.
